WHAT ELSE YOU NEED TO KNOW
This doesn't have to be complicated.
We believe the bible to be true, the inspired word of God, our truth and instruction manual to live by.
12 For the word of God is living and effective and sharper than any double-edged sword, penetrating as far as the separation of soul and spirit, joints and marrow. It is able to judge the ideas and thoughts of the heart.
We believe in the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. That Jesus Christ came here to live, teach, and die so that we could be saved and have eternal life. Jesus is the only way to the Father, to heaven.
We must be broken for our sins, and humble ourselves before God. We must ask genuinely from the heart for forgiveness of our sins, and repent.
If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
Simply put: what you read in your bible, is what we believe. We don't like to twist or manipulate the Word of God to fit our society or culture and make our sin "ok". We teach and preach it as it is written.
We also don't have a rule about which version of the bible is the best or only way to go. We don't care if it's a Kings James or a New Living Translation, Holman Christian Standard Bible, or any other version. Just pick one and read it!
We also believe that denomination is not an end. We don't put our hope in any denomination or religious traditions other than those clearly pointed out within the Word of God. You could say that Cross Point Family Church is a recovering Methodist entity. We are non-denominational. Let's take it deeper in that regard from the words of our worship and youth director:
"Let no walls or denomination be the trap for separation. We are the church, unite!
No competition, no pointless traditions, the end of all religion- what it means to be a Christian is Jesus.
Loving Jesus and Loving people, getting to the heart of life by serving others, giving grace, and living out His truth, and sharing the gospel of Christ- That's what we strive to do, not just on Sundays, but everyday.
